Worries Disturb Our Concentration

Worry destroys our thinking. It also disrupts our work, destroys our poise, and disfigures our face. There are things that we sometimes worry too much when in fact it doesn’t help a situation get better. Though worrying over someone shows your concern for him or her, you could do any better than that. Stop worrying and concentrate on what you can do.

Instead of worrying, do some actions if you can. Think of what you can do to help the situation. If you are worrying that your child hasn’t arrived yet and it’s getting late, do something. That’s if, it is unusual of him to come home late. Call him or his friends or someone whom you can contact. When we get worried we usually don’t know what to do and we just panic and end up doing nothing. Every time you get worried over something, do not panic and think of what you can do.

There are also situations where things are beyond our control and we feel helpless about it. Like a loved one who is undergoing a critical operation, understandably it doesn’t lie in our hands. But why worry when you can pray? Since we can do nothing about it, the best way we can do is to pray.
