The Answer
A quote from Jim Carey:
“I hope everybody would get rich and famous and will have everything they ever dreamed of so they will know that it’s not the answer.”
So what really is the answer? In achieving our dreams in life, the greatest thing that we have achieved really is not our dream but the lessons, experience, and maybe friends we gained. Have you noticed that when you were on the process of getting hold of that dream, you wanted to rush things up so that you’ll have it already? But when you are near the finishing point of that dream, you reminisce the hardships, enjoyment, success in passing every trial, that you feel like you wouldn’t want to go to the finish line first.
Just like in school. Your goal is to finish your studies to apply the things you have learned. But why do we cry during graduation day? Because we’ll be on our own and when we find new company, we still reminisce those days we were with old friends. On how we passed those trials, faced the troubles, and the likes.
So in everything we do in the pursuit of achieving our goals, take time to appreciate the things we pass on the road. Never forget the people we encountered, especially those who helped us or left a mark in our hearts during the trip to our success. Those things and people make us grow and make us stronger in facing the next chapter of our lives.
