<description>Keeping yourself motivated and moving forward is sometimes one of the hardest things to do. So we're going to explore several things that can help...

Take Action - Don't stop and think about it, just do it. Often times just the mere action of taking action... doing something... motivates you to do even more.

Take smaller steps - By taking smaller steps towards a larger goal, we're able to experience success much more quickly... and much more often. So instead of telling yourself you're going to make $100,000 within the year - try telling yourself you're going to make $100 today. Then do it.
Small accomplishments feel wonderful, and can be just the motivation you need to push on to the next small accomplishment.

Read Success Stories - Any success stories will do, but those closely related to your own individual situation will help the most. If you're having a problem communicating with a child for example, or losing weight... read a story about someone who overcame those same problem.

Listen to Stories - Listening to a success story can be even more motivational than reading one. Because you get to hear the excitement, passion, and yes: Motivation, in the voice of the speaker.

Collect Quotes - Keep a list or journal of inspiring motivational quotes that touch you deeply.

Collect Comments - Comments from other people that are in praise of you. Whether it's simply something your neighbor said about how good your house always smells... or something your customer said about how great you were in providing just the services they needed... these types of comments feel wonderful when they're given. And by saving them, you're able to pull them out to savor at will. And doing that will bring back all of the original pleasure you got the first time you read them... So you'll be motivated to do something that will help you grow your collection.
There are many other ways to get your first flush of motivation going... or keep it bouyed during down times. Start making your own list of what works for you, and you might be surprised at how well you're able to &quot;train&quot; yourself to stay motivated on a day-to-day basis.
