Doing Nothing Is A Choice

When we are stuck into a situation wherein we say, “we had no choice,” that’s why we did nothing. Did you realize that there is no such thing as no choice? To do nothing is a choice. We chose not to do anything. When we left with no choice. What do you do? You choose the last choice, right?

I just seen the movie where a journalist landed on an editor-in-chief assistant of a highly-respected fashion magazine. Her boss is very strict that she is even known of it in the fashion world. Employees fear her presence. The journalist here on the other hand is very new to the fashion world and the editor just ventured on having an assistant who is smart even though doesn’t have a good fashion sense. She adjusted her way of living just to retain her job and to satisfy her boss. Her relationship with her boyfriend and her friends even got affected. When she was in Paris with her boss, she was asked why she was there. She said that she had no choice. But her boss told her that of course she had the choice and she chose to be there. She chose to be in her position, she chose to be on a job where “every woman would die to have.” It was then that she realized that it was not what she wanted. So instead of accompanying her boss, she went back home and reconciled with her boyfriend and friends whom she has hurt. She applied in a publishing company and was surprised to know that her ex-boss called the publisher and said to him that she was her ex-boss’ biggest disappointment, and that he (the publisher) will be an idiot if he didn’t keep her.

Remember that we could always choose to say no. In every choice we make, we must also be ready with the consequences and we must also know our limits. Never let any of our loved ones get affected by our decisions. We just actually need to be responsible with the decisions that we make.
