It’s Just a Challenge, not Failure

Friday, July 27th, 2007

There may be some circumstances that does not cooperate with us in achieving our goals. This would then lose us hopes or lose our motivation in achieving our goals just because things didn’t turn out as we have planned. We even sometimes think that we already failed!

What we need to put in mind is that we haven’t failed yet and we will never fail. We can still do something about our goals. Think also that there are really challenges that will come our way in achieving our goals. Instead of giving up, accept the challenge. Remember that you only fail when you give up. Accepting it as a challenge will even make you more motivated and it will help you grow by learning new ideas and creating new strategies to help you succeed.

Instead of complaining that you can no longer succeed because you can’t do it anymore, focus on what you can do to succeed. Remember it is just a challenge. Be more positive about it and if possible, enjoy. Taking it positively will lighten the pressure that you feel about it.

Commitment

Thursday, July 19th, 2007

Commitment is something you need if you really want to reach your goals. When you are committed to your goal, you will be eager to do anything to reach it. Do whatever it takes to achieve it. You should expect difficulties, new things or experiences, and boring times. These are the times that might discourage you to continue. But what you need to put in mind is that you should never give up. When you already expect these things, you will be more prepared.

Commitment comes with courage. You should be courageous enough to do some of the things that you are not used to do or first time to do just to reach your goals. In those times where you feel like giving up, you really need courage. You need the courage to face these difficulties. Be committed to your goal, take action and pass the trials.

To help you be more committed, envision the end result of your goal. This will motivate you to really stick to it. It is something you really want or need in life that you want to achieve. If you envision it, you will be more eager to achieve it.

Aiming High

Friday, July 13th, 2007

While the mere prospect of making any kind of change can strike terror in the hearts of some underachievers, change never frightens or intimidates a winner. In fact, quite the contrary is true. Winners welcome the challenges inherent in implementing positive changes in their lives. Winners never shy away from a challenge because a little work is required. In fact, they thrive on the challenge of change. They know full well that anything worthwhile takes effort.

As you begin accomplishing your goals, one after another, you will uncover newer, bigger and more ambitious projects to pursue. This constant evolution of change insures you will continue to grow and improve with each passing day, continuously enhancing the quality of your life.

Winners love to sculpt, shape and mold their lives to their exacting specifications. Winners do not set tiny, uninspiring, easy to reach goals for themselves. Instead, they set imposing goals that motivate and move them to action. They aggressively pursue their goals, establishing an ambitious timetable for the achievement of each of their goals. Most importantly, they are more than willing to institute whatever changes deemed necessary to get them where they want to go.

People sometimes are not open to change. They live on what they have used to. But change, as stated above, helps a person improve, discover new things, and grow. As you try new things, it gives you more motivation to seek for better improvement. Striving for bigger dreams lets you learn more and grow better as a person. Don’t be afraid of aiming high, instead, get motivated to reach it.

Push Yourself Away From Shyness

Friday, July 6th, 2007

Are there times that you really want to rid yourself off of shyness?  We always think of it when something went wrong because of our shyness.  When we have lost an opportunity just because we were too shy, we would then decide that next time we will be confident enough to grab the opportunity.  Easy to say.  But when we then face the situation again, we couldn’t help to back out because we’re still too shy.

Deciding to overcome shyness is the first step.  But don’t get stuck there.  When you have decided to do something about your shyness, put that in mind.  Motivate yourself to really get over shyness.  Just think of what you will lose if you let shyness rule over you.  You won’t be able to do what you want to do.  You will lose the opportunity to talk to someone you like.  Think like, “it’s now or never.”

When faced in a situation where you feel like backing out, push yourself.  Focus hard on doing it.  You are already there and that is your chance to get over shyness.  Push yourself to step forward.  Like when you would like to talk to someone and you are already near him or her, its your chance!  If you are thinking of walking away, push yourself to step up to him or her nearer.  Then push yourself to speak up.  Once you have done it, it will be easier to continue the conversation.

Another thing to remember is not to think negative.  Always think positive. You may think that he or she might ignore you.  No, don’t think that way because it will just discourage you.  Think of advancing yourself to the person and ignore those negative ideas.
