The Search for inspiration. Problem Solved, at Last!

Wednesday, May 30th, 2007

Many of us are looking to have it all. We want
more success, greater happiness and harmonious
relationships (often termed abundance). We do our
best to apply the secrets of success we discover
over the years but still there are times when we
feel stuck.

This is normal.

Nobody can operate at 100% efficiency all of the
time. In fact, it is not only healthy and a good
idea to have down time it is also one of the best
ways to come up with new ideas that will propel
you forward past any obstacles that pop up.

Getting stuck is only a problem if it becomes
habitual – if you have a cycle of aiming high,
getting stuck and then searching for inspiration
to dig you out of the hole. That is a very
stressful way to live.

Does this sound like you?

You find yourself surfing the internet randomly
looking for something interesting to occupy your
mind while secretly you are hoping to stumble
upon an idea or some new insight that will
inspire you. This sometimes wastes hours of your
day.

I know. I make this mistake too when I forget to
stay aware of why I am online and what I want to
do.

Thankfully there is a better way. In fact there
are three great ways to kick start inspiration:

1. Supportive People

One great way to stay inspired and on track is to
surround yourself with loving, supportive people.
When you have people around you who believe in
your abilities there is nothing you cannot
achieve. Their belief and support will reignite
your passion to keep you moving towards your
ultimate destination.

2.  New Environment

Very often when I am stuck in my work I will shut
down my computer, put my PDA in my pocket and go
for a walk or go to a coffee shop. I find when I
am out in nature or in new surroundings I can
think more clearly. I can get unstuck by doing
this.

Then, when great ideas pop into my mind I make
notes on my PDA so I do not forget the solutions
later when I am back in the office.

3. Release the stuckness

The most elegant and powerful way to quickly move
beyond stuckness is to release that stuck feeling.

If you know how, it is possible to go, in a
matter of moments, from feeling stuck, apathetic
and confused to feeling inspired, ready for
action and excited about making your dreams come
through. It really is amazing.

I will tell you how to do this in a minute but
first let me explain why inspiration is so
important in helping you get what you want.

Inspiration is the spark that ignites abundance
in your life – an abundance of happiness, great
friends and wealth. Do understand, true abundance
means having the inspiration to dream big dreams
and the courage to make it happen.

If this is a life changing skill you would like
to have, the best place to learn how is at this
site:

How Inspiration Unlocks Abundance

I have used this approach since the summer of
1999 and it is remarkable the difference this
knowledge has made to my quality of life. I am
happier, wealthier and more at peace than I have
ever been.

All because of this single essential skill – the
ability to bounce back and get inspired at
anytime even when the odds are stacked against me.

Again, let me be clear, many people talk
about abundance – what that really means is
inspiration backed dreams. Get that right and
life becomes a magical experience.

Inspiration for Easy Abundance

“Before you achieve, you must believe”

Monday, May 28th, 2007

I just recently watched a movie about a training in the navy.  There’s this one fat guy who was not able to climb up on one of the obstacle course during the training mainly because of his weight and body built.  His company commander told them that they must pass through it for them to pass the training.

On that night, while they were supposed to be sleeping, he was telling himself, “before you achieve you must believe.”  It sounded like he was memorizing it loudly and his room mates were even disturbed.  But that hit them also because as the training progresses, it was getting harder.  That sentence was his motivator that he was really able to climb and pass through that obstacle course with the help of his room mate.  Though he didn’t completed the course on time, with a difference of four seconds only, the thing is, he believed that he will be able to climb that obstacle course.

Believing makes you achieve your goal.  It gives you the spirit to do what you thought you can’t do.  It also vanishes the thought of quitting.  So, before you achieve, you must believe!

In Grief

Monday, May 21st, 2007

In grief, we usually feel like the world has turned its back on us, like we have lost everything. It feels like we can’t move another step in our life anymore. Those are just normal feelings especially if we lost someone close to our heart.

During these times, we must remember to take care of ourselves. Most importantly our health. It is during these times that we feel no hunger and we seem lost. Be sure to eat plenty to avoid yourself getting sick. Such illnesses couldn’t help any better with what you feel. Then, take plenty of sleep as much as possible. It is understandable that you get insomnia when in grief. But having a nice comfortable feeling after taking a bath or cleaning yourself before you jump to bed could help you go to sleep. There are various ways to get yourself drown to sleep. You just have to help yourself. Get yourself motivated.

It is important that we do not forget to take care of ourselves in grief moments. Though it may not be that easy, we need to motivate ourselves to fight off the thought in our mind. There may be a lot of things in our mind or may even be blank, but we need to insert the thought that we need to eat and take a rest. That way, our grief will eventually wear off.

Product of Procrastination

Friday, May 18th, 2007

I have stumbled upon a procrastinator’s blog and found out that procrastination somehow does him good.  As a typical college student, he found himself a procrastinator, doing assignments usually at the last minute.  But he also do some in time.  Funny thing here is that he gets an A grade with those works he crammed.  He said that what motivates him during cramming hours is not to fail in his subjects.

So that’s what procrastination sometimes do to us.  It brings out the best in us.  Or does it?  It actually strengthens our motivation to work and makes us concentrate hard on our work because we are pressured to finish it.  With that, there is less extra things in our minds and we focus on our craft that we would not expect an excellent outcome.  Little did we know that we have done well on that.

Given all that, what we actually need then is not procrastination but motivation and concentration.  We just have to strengthen both to be able to do our tasks better.

Direction

Friday, May 11th, 2007

In accomplishing our goals, we must always take track of our direction not our speed. Sometimes we are preoccupied the thought of achieving our goals as soon as possible that we do not notice that we are not on the right direction anymore. If that happens, it will even delay our achievement. Also, because of speeding our success, we might do things with less quality. It’s like achieving our goal but not that satisfying enough.

If we feel that we’re taking long to success, remember that things has their time. Just make sure that you don’t lose the perseverance to achieve your goal and do things one by one. Every little thing that you have done for your goal, make it an inspiration and let it motivate you to work harder. Just put in mind that you have done that far so quitting is not in your vocabulary.

Procrastination: A Destroyer

Thursday, May 3rd, 2007

Procrastination doesn’t only affect the procrastinator.  It doesn’t only destroy one’s life.  It also destroys relationships, be it private or in an organization or workplace.  When you procrastinate, it affects other persons as well.  Those persons that relate directly to your life are mostly affected.

When you get your work delayed, the one assigned to you by your group, the whole project will totally be affected.  In a team, every member, every task is very important.  Without the other, the whole project won’t be completed.  If you delay your work, the whole project will get delayed.  Especially those tasks that are dependent of your task.  When this happens, your teammates will react negatively of you.

In private relationships, procrastination can cause misunderstanding.  Just like in organizations, your partner might get delayed of his other tasks because of your procrastination.  Every time you waste, you could have spent it with your partner, only if you didn’t procrastinate.  You  might always get busy because you cram with your task that you might have lesser time with your partner.

Procrastination indeed destroys you and the people around you.  So always avoid procrastinating and be ashamed to the people around you that they get hassled because of you.  Throw away procrastination in your life and get rid of worries.
