How To Be Motivated To Create The Life Of Your Dreams

WARNING -- THIS ARTICLE IS FOR OPEN MINDED READERS ONLY

When it comes to motivating yourself to be a better person,
to do better at work or to create a happier family life you
need to understand the importance of taking control of your
self-talk. You really need to know how to motivate yourself
through thick and thin.

Do you ever pay attention to the thoughts inside your mind?
And more importantly do you ever notice the way in which
you talk to yourself?

Here are three tips you can use right away to motivate
yourself: find out how to be motivated in seconds:

1 Talk To Yourself The Way You Talk To Someone You Love

Be honest!

Is it true you sometimes insult yourself, curse yourself
and say horrible things about your abilities? If you spoke
like this regularly to the people you care about they would
leave and never talk to you again.

There is no excuse for treating yourself so badly. Talk to
yourself the way you would talk to someone you deeply love.
Be respectful, patient and understanding. Be slow to anger,
quick to praise and grateful for the opportunity to listen.

Be on your best behavior when you talk to yourself and you
will find that you treat other people better as well. This
in turn will cause people to respond more positively to
whatever you say. These very people will be more inclined
to help you get what you want.

2 Pump Up The Volume

Very often we go through our day with an internal dialogue
buzzing away in the background. We mutter to ourselves
about what we need to do without feeling particularly
inspired to do anything other than what we have to do. This
is not an effective strategy for self-motivation!

What you need to do instead is to turn up the volume,
inject some passion into your words and talk to yourself
with enthusiasm. You would not have much luck motivating
someone else to take action without putting some energy
into your words. You need to do the same to motivate
yourself. You must know how to be motivated at a moments
notice!

The next time you want to motivate yourself to do something
- talk to yourself the same way you would if someone was
standing before you waiting to be inspired. Speak loudly
with passion and excitement either aloud or to yourself
inside your head. The more energy you put into it the
easier it will be to light the fire inside you that sparks
you into action.

3 Know How To Feel Good When You Are Having A Tough Day

No matter how focused, positive and hard working you are
there will still be days when nothing seems to go your way.
It is on days like this that you must take charge of your
brain and take control of your self talk.

You need a back catalogue of memories you can replay to
make yourself feel good. Music does it for me. I have so
many songs I love to hear that I just pick one out and
listen to it in my mind. In a moment I can listen to sounds
that make me feel fantastic simply by choosing to.

For best results imagine you have a volume control with
bass and treble. Make the music sound rich, loud and
resonant. This is the secret to knowing how to be motivated
in a way that works for you.

A friend of mine has such a great memory that he will
listen to an entire CD in his mind. How about that for a
quick and easy way to feel good whenever you are having a
tough day?

One final way to use this tip...

Replay happy memories of people telling you how much they
value and appreciate you. Hear them saying what a
difference you are making and soak up those wonderful
feelings of appreciation.

Your motivation will soar and getting more done each day
will just get easier and easier with eager people lining up
to help you.

It really is your choice as to how you run your brain.
Choose to feel great and your communication with yourself
and the outside world will become remarkable.

And do bear in mind the alternative is bleak ...

2005 is almost over. If you let things slide like you did
last year we will be having the same conversation in 12
months time.

How much will that hurt?

All you need to do is unlock your personal motivation style

The Inner Winner Secret

by Peter Murphy

You are capable of much more than you are currently
demonstrating in your life. Deep down you know that.

The challenge is knowing how to activate your inner winner
- that part of you that is destined for greatness. What you
need is a simple yet practical way to draw out your
capacity for inspired action, your ability to be in the
flow getting things done while enjoying the moment.

Why not do what the very successful do? i.e. use the fear
of embarrassment to help you achieve your goals. I know
this sounds unusual. Bear with me a moment.

Here´s how it works....

1. Choose a critical task

Pick something you really need to get done but are avoiding.
This can be in your career or personal life. Just be sure
to select a task you care about completing. It´s best if
the pressure is already building!

2. Tell a trusted friend what you will achieve

The key is to tell someone whose respect and approval you
don´t want to lose. By setting things up in this way
winning their continued approval becomes more urgent and
important to you than the task itself.

If you choose the kind of person who will never let you
forget your failure to follow through you will have found
the emotional pressure to get into action immediately.

3. Hold in mind the potential for embarrassment

While working on the task hold in mind the embarrassment
you will feel if you don´t complete it. Imagine how
disappointed your friend will be. Think about how that
person will be surprised and let down to see you fail.

This emotional need to avoid disapproval will give you the
incentive you need to move ahead and complete the task.
Before you know it you will have an unstoppable resolve to
complete the task and report your success to your friend.

The potential for embarrassment and the desire for praise
will focus your attention on what needs to be done. What
was once a task that could be put off or even forgotten
quickly become a matter of intense urgency.

Although we might like to think otherwise we are emotional
creatures. Using logic doesn´t always work when it comes to
motivating ourselves and reasoning is never going to light
the fire in your belly.

If you have been trying to reason your way to a state of
lasting motivation you already know that it is not a
solution to the problem.

What you need to do is take charge of those feelings that
stop you from getting ahead such as lethargy, indifference,
apathy and even fear.

Imagine what your day would be like without those limiting
feelings. Imagine how much energy you´d have and how
inspired and excited you´d feel about diving into the day
ahead.

Again, logic won´t get you to a state of lasting motivation
- you need a step by step proven system. And for people
like you who are open to learning a new and better way I
have a solution that works.

But it is not for everyone.

If you are of at least average intelligence and can follow
simple instructions I can share my secrets with you. Even
better, you can test the system for yourself when you click

The Biggest Motivation Mistake You Make

Look at the winners in life and ask yourself: what are they
doing so differently to everyone else? What is their secret?

The secret is staring you in the face. And as soon as you
recognize how blindingly obvious it is you are all set to
join the winners.

The winners circle is populated by men and women who have
control over their negative emotions. Unlike the general
population they don´t view rejection, frustration or
laziness as reasons to stop.

High achievers use negative emotions as feedback i.e. what
I am doing is not working so I need to find a better way.
This attitude transforms problems into opportunities and
lets you live in a world of wonderful possibilities.

You can do the same!

Do not expect negative emotions to go away. You will never
get rid of so called negative emotions so view them in a
different light and start using them to get ahead. This is
what highly successful people do. Why not join them?

The key is to view frustrations as signals to try a
different approach. Clearly, you only get frustrated when
your current approach is not working. And if you keep doing
what does not work you will only become more stressed and
overwhelmed.

Imagine what your life could be life if rejection didn´t
bother you. What would it be like if procrastination was
just another way to get ahead? Procrastination is simply a
signal you need to pay attention to.

Sometimes procrastination means you need time out but a lot
of the time it means - change your working style. Without
realizing it you may have set your life up in a way that
stops you from being a winner.

Many people put themselves under extreme pressure to do
things they don´t want to do, then fail and then beat
themselves up for falling short again. Life quickly becomes
a series of obstacles you avoid and dread. Does this sound
like you?

If instead you´d like to be a winner again all you need to
do is learn how winners stay motivated. Do exactly what
they do and you´ll take your place in the winners circle.

What do you need to know to become a winner again?

It´s simple really. You must develop the ability to see how
you put off doing what really matters and change this
program to your own personal motivation blueprint - the
motivation style that is right for you.

When you do this you´ll become an achiever again and get
much more done with far greater ease and enjoyment. You´ll
regain control of your life and start to see a very bright
light at the end of the tunnel you were stuck in.

Now, there is a hard way and an easy way to get back on
track. The difficult way could take years and a lot of
effort with no guarantee of success as you attempt to
analyze how you stop yourself from being a winner.

The easy way is to use my step by step system. All the hard
work has been done for you. As long as you are of at least
average intelligence and you follow through you will
quickly rediscover your sense of self motivation and
purpose.
